Notice about use of the app

The PsyLab app is currently in a testing phase (MVP). Do not enter sensitive data in the app. You can send feedback about its use and features to info@psylab.cloud.

1. Object and acceptance

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") regulate access to and use of the PsyLab platform ("Service"), accessible at the address psylab.cloud and through the app.psylab.cloud application.

By using the Service, you declare that you have read, understood and fully accepted these Terms. If you do not agree to the terms described herein, you must immediately stop using the Service.

2. Recipients of the Service

PsyLab is an AI assistant designed exclusively for mental health professionals: psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists and other qualified healthcare professionals. Access to the Service is permitted only to adults and, for clinical functions, to professionals in possession of the legal requirements to practice the profession in their country of residence.

The Service is not intended for patients, non-professional users or anyone seeking personal psychological support.

3. Nature of the Service and clinical limitations

PsyLab is a professional support tool based on artificial intelligence. The Service is designed to:

• support the consultation of diagnostic manuals (DSM-5, ICD-11) and clinical literature;
• simulate therapeutic interviews for training and preparation purposes;
• assist in the creation of professional content and documentation;
• organize information and clinical cases.

PsyLab does not provide diagnoses clinics, does not replace the professional judgment of the clinician and does not in any way constitute a healthcare service. Any output generated by the Service is informative and supportive in nature. The responsibility for any clinical decision remains entirely with the professional, in accordance with the provisions of Law 132/2025 on artificial intelligence and the EU AI Act.

4. Plans and subscriptions

PsyLab offers the following plans:

• Starter (Free): access with 20 credits per month and basic features
• Plus (€6.99/month): access with 100 credits per month and advanced features
• Business (€12.99/month): access with 250 credits per month to all features, including the simulator interviews

Prices include VAT where applicable. PsyLab reserves the right to change plan prices with at least 30 days notice via email.

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of the billing period. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your profile settings; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the already paid period.

5. Payments and Refunds

Payments are processed through certified third-party providers. PsyLab does not store payment card data. In the event of technical problems attributable to PsyLab that have prevented the use of the Service for a period exceeding 48 consecutive hours, the user has the right to request a refund proportional to the period of disruption.

6. User obligations

The user undertakes to:

• use the Service in accordance with applicable laws and the ethical standards of his profession;
• not share his access credentials with third parties;
• not enter identifying data of real patients into the Service without adequate pseudonymization or anonymization;
• not attempt to compromise the security, integrity or availability of the Service;
• not use the Service to generate content that is illicit, misleading or contrary to professional ethics.

7. Patient data and user responsibilities

The user is the independent owner of the processing of data relating to their patients. PsyLab is not responsible for the processing of data that the user chooses to enter on the platform. It is expressly recommended not to include identifying information of real patients. If the user decides to do so, he/she assumes full responsibility for the lawfulness of the processing pursuant to the GDPR (EU Reg. 2016/679) and Legislative Decree 196/2003.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, software, design, AI models and materials on PsyLab are the exclusive property of PsyLab or its licensors. Reproduction, distribution, modification or commercial use of such content without written permission is prohibited.

The output generated by the AI during the use of the Service may be freely used by the user for his/her professional purposes. PsyLab does not claim rights to the outputs produced.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PsyLab is not responsible for:

• clinical decisions made based on the outputs of the Service;
• direct or indirect damages resulting from interruptions, errors or inaccuracies of the Service;
• AI-generated content that is inaccurate, incomplete or not updated.

The Service is provided "as is". PsyLab undertakes to guarantee maximum accuracy and availability, but does not offer guarantees of results on the use of the Service in real clinical contexts.

10. Changes to the Service and Terms

PsyLab reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the Service or any part thereof at any time, with or without notice. Substantial changes to these Terms will be communicated via email at least 15 days in advance. Your continued use of the Service after this period constitutes acceptance of the changes.

11. Applicable law and competent court

These Terms are governed by Italian law. For any dispute arising from the use of the Service, the parties agree on the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Rome, without prejudice to consumer protection legislation where applicable.
